Certainly, home is where the heart is. In order for Mothers to be successful as parents, our children must feel safe and secure in their homes. Home is beyond your 4 walls.
Proverbs 24: 3-4 says, “By wisdom a house is built and by understanding it is established by knowledge the rooms are filled with all precious and pleasant riches.” Above all, God’s Word reminds us that we must be wise in how we establish our homes. Wise does not equal bigger or better. It does mean: “having the power of discerning and judging properly as to what is true or right.” As parents, home of our jobs is to be intentional when developing a plan to make a safe and welcoming place for your child and family to thrive.

I made a decision back in November 2018 after leaning about the harmful toxins regularly marketed as household cleaning items, skincare, make-up, and even “nutritional food” – truly is not always what it says it is. After doing some research, I discovered resources that allowed me to validate the labels. I will share these resources with you and encourage you to compare nots with a “professional mom” near you.
Removal of toxic items are not the only thing that I believe creates a safer home. I also feel that every home should have structure and some sense of predictability. After all, we are preparing our children to face our sometimes unpredictable and chaotic word.
I believe that while some things in life can be unpredictable, it is essential to establish safety plans for yourself and for those you love. Our children will face uncertainty, and we will need to equip them with problem-solving skills. When they are, they will be ready to respond rather than react to the stress, they will inevitably face.
